San Francisco Homeless Resource

I am glad to see Fog City Journal listed as a source that regularly reports on homelessness. More could be added. I am not endorsing any of these save to say that some report on local homelessness issues fairly regularly: SF Public Press, San Francisco Bay Area Independent Media Center, and various broadcast stations: KTVU Channel 2,KGO Channel 7, KRON Channel 4, KQED (PBS), KNTV (NBC), KTSF Channel 26, KDTV-DT (Univision Channel 14) etc.

I am also wondering if it is possible to incorporate a visible RSS feed (or create one from this media page) to get (or give) the latest news. I think Google's search algorithms leave much to be desired but a search using key words Homeless + "San Francisco" can be useful. Here is an example: Search for San Francisco Homeless News.

Machine news aggregators cannot replace human searches-- but can be useful tools.

I will try to look into some of these things with more time. --Roberert B. Livingston 02:20, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

P.S.: I do not know why my signature is misspelled-- will look into that later also. --Roberert B. Livingston 02:20, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Great ideas! I'll ask around about the RSS and signature spelling.

By the way, we should create a IDEAS FOR IMPROVEMENT page for with a column for status, and then get people with programming knowledge to help move the status along to completion.
